Here is a range of some of my logo designs. Logos are one of my favorite design projects due to the typographic experimentation involved. I like to see the evolution from pencil sketch to final version. There is a definite nod to vintage traditions throughout.

Description: I have created many logos and word marks throughout my design career. They have represented various client needs from corporate to cabaret and required the ability to ref lect extremely different attitudes.

I always start logo conceptualization with typography — even if I know they will end up as image-based. I look for typographic opportunities in the words I'm working with and then f ind appropriate typefaces to support the tone and purpose of the project. Typography brings a lot of personality into a logo and words also allow for viewer interpretation making it more engaging for the audience.
